Welcome to my crochet toucan tutorial. This is the video tutorial for my crochet toucan pattern.

For this pattern, you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn; I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (110) Black, (281) Tangerine, (106) Snow White, (254) Moon Rock and (242) Metal Gray.  A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook.  A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors.  Sewing thread and a needle to stitch the toucan together.  A small black bead for the eye, if desired.

The finished toucan applique will be 14cm wide x 17cm high or 5.5” wide x 6.5” high and look like this.

In the tutorial video, I will show you how to make the head and body. Then I’ll guide you through making the beak, tail, breast, eye area, claws and branch. And finally, I’ll show you how to join all of the pieces together.
