Welcome to my crochet vulture tutorial. Follow along with this video tutorial to learn how to make my crochet vulture pattern.

In the tutorial video, I’ll show you how to make the head, beak and neck feathers. Then I’ll make the body, wing, leg feathers and feet. Finally, I’ll show you how to join all of the pieces together.

The finished vulture applique will be 10cm wide x 14cm high or 4″ wide x 5.5″ high and will look like this.

To make this vulture you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton (162) Black Coffee, (507) Chocolate, (074) Mercury, (393) Charcoal and (106) Snow White.  You will also need a crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook and a darning needle to weave in ends.  Sewing thread and needle to stitch the vulture together as well as scissors.
