Welcome to my crochet small bird tutorial. This is the video tutorial for my crochet small bird pattern.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (208) Yellow Gold and (254) Moon Rock.  A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook.  A darning needle to weave in ends.  Thread and needle to stitch the bird together and black thread to embroider on the eye and a pair of scissors.

The size of the small bird will be 8cm wide x 7cm high (3” wide x 2.75” high) and it will look like this.

In the tutorial I’ll show you how to make the head, body and tail. Then I’ll guide you through making the wing, legs and beak. Finally, I’ll show you how to join all the pieces together.
