Welcome to my crochet rooster tutorial. I’ll be guiding you through how to make my crochet rooster pattern in this video.
For this pattern you will need crochet cotton or wool, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colours (401) Dark Teal, (383) Ginger Gold, (208) Yellow Gold, (254) Moon Rock, (115) Hot Red, (162) Black Coffee and (189) Royal Orange. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook and scissors. Darning needle to weave in ends. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the rooster together and a small white bead for the eye.
The finished rooster will be 14cm x 14cm or 5.5″ x 5.5″ and it will look like this.
I’ll be showing you how to make all of the pieces step-by-step in the video, including the head, wattle, comb and beak. Then I’ll be guiding you through making the body, tail, wing and feather. And finally, I’ll show you how to put all of the pieces together.
