Welcome to my crochet pheasant tutorial video. Follow along with this crochet tutorial and learn how to make my crochet pheasant pattern.

I’ll show you how to make the head, body, beak and face marking. Then I’ll go through making the tail, wing and legs. Finally, I’ll show you how to join all of the pieces together.

The size will be 21.5cm x 17cm (8.5” x 6.75”) and the finished pheasant applique will look like this.

Finished crochet pheasant tutorial 4 ply landscape

To make this pheasant, you will need crochet cotton or wool. I used 4 ply crochet cotton colours orange, green, white, tan, red, dark brown and light brown. A crochet hook, I used a 1.5mm hook. A pair of scissors and a darning needle to weave in ends. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the pheasant together. Black and grey thread to embroider on eye and markings.

I hope that you have enjoyed the video. Have a look at some of my other tutorials like the crochet rooster, raccoon, crochet quail, baby fox and the deer tutorial.
