Welcome to my crochet new moon tutorial. Follow along with this video to learn how to make my crochet new moon pattern.
For this beginner crochet tutorial, you will need crochet cotton or wool, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colours (280) Lemon, (106) Snow White, (110) Black and a tiny bit of (390) Poppy Rose. You’ll also need a crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook and scissors. Darning needle to weave in ends. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the features to the moon.
The finished moon applique will be 10.5cm x 15cm or 4″ x 6″ and look like this.
I’ll show you how to make the moon, eye and mouth. Then I’ll guide you through putting all the pieces together and adding the eyelashes.
