Welcome to my crochet bending flamingo tutorial. This is the video tutorial for my crochet bending flamingo pattern.

The size of the bending flamingo will be 22cm wide x 19cm high (8.5” wide x 7.5” high) and it will look like this.

Finished crochet bending flamingo tutorial 2 ply landscape

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (114) Shocking Pink, (398) Colonial Rose, (222) Tulip, (254) Moon Rock and (110) Black.  A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook.  A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors.  Black thread and needle to embroider on the markings.  A white bead if desired.

In the tutorial video I’ll show you how to make the beak, head, and body. Then, I’ll guide you through making the tail, feathers, and legs. Finally, I’ll show you how to join all the pieces together.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed my tutorial. Have a look at some of my other crochet tutorials, including the flamingo, the standing flamingo, the peacock, the crochet stork and the swan tutorial.
