For my latest crochet beginner guide I’ll be joining granny squares together using double crochet. I’ll be using this technique and over the coming weeks I’ll be showing you how to make this cushion.

1 ch, work 2 dc into the ch loop of the corner, working through both granny squares.  (Working into the next stitch, through both granny squares, work 1 dc,) repeat into each st to the next corner. Work 2 dc into the corner through both granny squares.  Fasten off.

Work the same as joining the 2 granny squares together until you get to the stitch before the joins, work 1 dc in next st, work a joined dc in same st as last dc and next st.  Work a dc in same st as last part of the joined dc, continue working 1 dc in each st through both granny squares until you reach the corner.  Into the corner loops work 2 dc.  Fasten off.
