Welcome to my crochet skateboard pattern. This pattern was another request. This is what the finished skateboard applique will look like.

Crochet Skateboard Pattern
Abbreviations
- st – stitch
- sts – stitches
- ch – chain
- sl st – slip stitch
- dc – double crochet
- htr – half treble crochet
- tr – treble crochet
- dtr – double treble crochet
Materials Used
- Any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Maxi Sweet Treat 2 ply crochet cotton colours (115) Hot Red, (517) Ruby, (393) Charcoal and (110) Black.
- A crochet hook, I used a 1mm hook.
- A darning needle to weave in ends.
- Thread and needle to stitch the skateboard together.
- Scissors.

Size
Large skateboard (Using 8 ply yarn & a 3mm hook)
13.5cm wide x 5cm high or 5.25” wide x 2” high
Medium skateboard (Using 4 ply crochet cotton & a 1.5mm hook)
8cm wide x 3.5cm high or 3” wide x 1.25” high
Small skateboard (Using 2 ply crochet cotton & a 1mm hook)
6cm wide x 2.5cm high or 2.25” wide x 1” high
Board
Using (115) Hot Red work 16 ch.
Row 1: Work 2 dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 dc in each of next 13 sts, 2 dc in last st. Turn. (17 sts)
Row 2: 1 ch, work 2 dc in 1st st, 1 dc in each of next 15 sts, 2 dc in last st. Turn. (19 sts)
Row 3: 1 ch, work 3 dc in 1st st, 1 dc in each of next 17 sts, 2 dc in last st. Turn. (22 sts)
Row 4: 1 ch, work 1 dc in each of 1st 20 sts, 1 htr in next st, 2 tr and 1 dtr in last st. Don’t turn. Fasten off.

Neatening Row
Join (110) Black to outside loop of any stitch.

1 ch, work 1 sl st in outside loop of each st around. Join with a sl st in 1st st. Fasten off.

Side
Join (517) Ruby to top corner in back loop only where shown.

Working into outside loop work 1 sl st in each of next 3 sts, 1 dc in each st to last st along straight edge. 1 sl st in each of next 2 sts. Fasten off.

Near Wheels (make 2)
Using (393) Charcoal make a magic loop.
Row 1: 1 ch, work 6 dc in circle. Pull circle tight and join with a sl st in top of 1st st. Fasten off.

Far Wheels (make 2)
Using (393) Charcoal make a magic loop.
Row 1: 1 ch, work 4 dc in circle. Pull circle tight but don’t join. 3 ch, miss 1st ch, work 1 sl st in each remaining ch, sl st in the side of last dc. Fasten off leaving a long tail to attach it to the near wheel.

To Make Up
Weave in ends. Embroider black dot in centre of near wheels.

Weave the tail you left on the far wheels to the end of the chain piece and stitch the end of the chain piece to centre of near wheel.

Attach the wheels to the skateboard. Decorate if desired.
