Follow along with this crochet meerkat tutorial and learn how to make my crochet meerkat pattern.
The tutorial video will guide you step by step through making the head, head markings, eyes, ears and nose. Then, I’ll show you how to make the body, legs, arms and tail. Finally, I’ll show you how to put all of the pieces together.
The finished meerkat applique will be 9cm x 16.5cm (3.5” x 6.5”) and will look like this.
For the pattern you will need crochet cotton or wool, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colours (404) English Tea, (157) Root Beer, and (162) Black Coffee. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. Scissors. Darning needle to weave in ends. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the meerkat together. A small clear seed bead for each eye if desired.
