Welcome to my crochet galah tutorial. In this tutorial video, I’ll show you how to make my crochet galah pattern.
For this applique you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (519) Fresia, (074) Mercury, (238) Powder Pink and (242) Metal Gray. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends. A pair of scissors. Sewing thread and a needle to stitch the galah together. Black thread or a black bead for the eye.
The finished crochet galah will be 16cm wide x 16cm high or 6.25” wide x 6.25” high and will look like this.
In the tutorial video, I’ll show you how to make the crest, head and body. Then I’ll guide you through making the beak, wings, tail, leg and claws. And finally, I’ll show you how to join all of the pieces together.
I hope that you’ve enjoyed the video. You should have a look at some of my other tutorials, including the peacock, the crochet cockatoo, king parrot tutorial, the crochet flamingo, and the crochet stork.
