Welcome to my easy hippo crochet tutorial. Take a look at this tutorial and learn how to make my easy hippo crochet pattern.
You will need cotton or wool for this tutorial. I used Scheepjes Catona (074) Mercury, (222) Tulip, (106) Snow White and (110) Black. A crochet hook, I use is a 2.5 mm hook. Scissors and a darning needle to weave in ends. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the hippo together. A bead for the eye if desired.
The finished hippopotamus will measure 13 cm x 12 cm (5 “x 4.75”) and will look like this.
