Crochet Shawl Tutorial

Finished crochet shawl landscape

Welcome to my crochet shawl tutorial. This is the video tutorial for my crochet shawl pattern.

The finished size for the shawl will be 114cm wide x 76cm high (45” wide x 30” high) and it will look like this.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used 2 100gm balls of 8 ply yarn which is light worsted in the US and double knit in the UK.  Crochet hooks, I used a 5.5mm hook for the main part and a 5mm hook for the neatening row but I have tight tension so use the hook you would usually use for the weight yarn.  A darning needle to weave in ends.  A pair of scissors.  Appliques to decorate if desired.  Thread and needle to stitch the appliques to the shawl.

I hope that you enjoyed the tutorial. The tutorials for the appliqués that I used on this scarf are available at crochet deer tutorial, the crochet squirrel, the pheasant, the blue wren, the peacock, the robin and the flower.
