Welcome to my crochet elephant granny square tutorial. This is the video tutorial for my crochet elephant granny square pattern.
For this pattern, you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used 8-ply yarn, which is light worsted in the US and double knit in the UK in colors green, grey and white. A crochet hook, I used a 4.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends, a pair of scissors. Sewing thread and a needle to stitch the elephant together. Black cotton to embroider on the eyes and the markings on the trunk.
The finished elephant granny square will be 13cm square or 5” square and look like this.
In the tutorial video, I’ll show you how to make the head and the square. Then I’ll guide you through making the ears, trunk and tusks. Finally, I’ll show you how to join all of the pieces together.
