Welcome to my crochet deer or fawn tutorial. Follow along with this tutorial to learn how to make my deer or fawn crochet pattern.

In the tutorial video, I’ll be showing you how to make the head, nose, ears and eyes. Then I’ll go through making the body, legs, tail, hooves, spots and antlers. And lastly, we’ll go through how to join all of the pieces together to end up with the finished deer.

The finished deer will be 10.5cm x 16cm or 4.25” x 6.25”.

To make the applique you will need some crochet cotton or wool, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colours (179) Topac, (105) Bridal White, (106) Snow White and (110) Black.  A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook and scissors. Darning needle to weave in ends. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the deer together.
