Welcome to my crochet dalmatian pup pattern. This pattern was another request. This is what the finished dalmatian pup applique will look like.

Crochet Dalmatian Pup Pattern
Abbreviations
- st – stitch
- sts – stitches
- ch – chain
- sl st – slip stitch
- sc – single crochet
- hdc – half double crochet
- dc – double crochet
- tr – treble crochet
Materials Used
- Any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Maxi Sweet Treat 2 ply crochet cotton colors (106) Snow White and (110) Black.
- A crochet hook, I used a 1mm hook.
- A darning needle to weave in ends.
- Thread and needle to stitch the dalmatian together and black thread to embroider on the markings, mouth and whiskers.
- Scissors.

Size
Large dalmatian (Using 8 ply yarn & a 3mm hook)
11.5cm wide x 13.5cm high or 4.5” wide x 5.25” high
Medium dalmatian (Using 4 ply crochet cotton & a 1.5mm hook)
8cm wide x 9.5cm high or 3” wide x 3.75” high
Small dalmatian (Using 2 ply crochet cotton & a 1mm hook)
6cm wide x 7cm high or 2.5” wide x 2.75” high
Head & Body
Using (106) Snow White work 8 ch.
Row 1: Work 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 hdc in each of next 5 sts, 1 sc in last st. Turn. (7 sts)
Row 2: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each st to end. Turn. (8 sts)
Row 3: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each of 1st 7 sts, 2 sc in last st. 4 ch. (9 sts + 4 ch)

Row 4: Miss 1st ch, work 1 sc in each remaining ch, 1 sc in each st to last st, 2 sc in last st. Turn. (13 sts)
Rows 5-7: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each st to end. Turn. (13 sts)
Row 8: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in each st to end. Turn. (12 sts)
Row 9: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each of next 5 sts, a joined sc over following 2 sts. Turn. (8 sts)
Row 10: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each of 1st 7 sts, 2 sc in last st. Turn. (9 sts)
Row 11: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each st to end. Turn. (10 sts)
Row 12: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each st to end. Turn. (11 sts)
Row 13: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each st to end. Turn. (12 sts)
Row 14: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in each st to end. Turn. (11 sts)
Row 15: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each of next 5 sts, work 1 sc in back loop only for next 3 sts, (front leg will be worked into front loops), a joined sc over last 2 sts. Turn. (11 sts)
Row 16: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each of 1st 10 sts, 2 sc in last st. Turn. (12 sts)
Row 17: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each st to end. Turn. (13 sts)
Row 18: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in each of next 10 sts, 2 sc in last st. Turn. (13 sts)
Row 19: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each of next 10 sts, a joined sc over last 2 sts. Turn. (13 sts)
Row 20: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in each st to end. Turn. (12 sts)
Row 21: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each of 1st 10 sts, a joined sc over last 2 sts. Turn. (11 sts)
Row 22: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in each st to end. Turn. (10 sts)
Row 23: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in each of next 6 sts, a joined sc over last 2 sts. Turn. (8 sts)
Row 24: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 3 sts, 1 sc in each st to end. Turn. (6 sts)
Row 25: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in next st, a joined sc over last 3 sts. Don’t turn or fasten off.

Neatening Row
1 ch, work 1 sc in each st to st before neck, work a joined sc over next 3 sts, 1 sl st in each st around nose, 1 sc in each st to 3rd last st down back, work 11 ch for tail, work 1 sl st in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each of next 4 ch, 2 sc in each of following 3 ch, 1 hdc in each of last 2 ch, sl st to end of body. Fasten off.

Near Front Leg
Join (106) Snow White to 1st loop left from row 15. I left a long tail to use for the neatening row.

Row 1: 1 ch, work 1 sc in same place as join, 1 sc in each of next 2 loops left. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 2: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each of 1st 2 sts, 2 sc in last st. Turn. (4 sts)
Row 3: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in next st, a joined sc over last 2 sts. Turn. (4 sts)
Row 4: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in next st, a joined sc over last 2 sts. Turn. (4 sts)
Row 5: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in each of last 2 sts. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 6: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each st. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 7: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 2 sc in last st. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 8: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each of 1st 2 sts, 2 hdc in last st. Turn. (4 sts)
Row 9: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, a joined sc over last 2 sts. 3 ch. (2 sts + 3 ch)
Row 10: Miss 1st ch, work 1 sc in each of last 2 ch, a joined sc over the 2 sts. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 11: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each st. Fasten off.

Neatening Row
Using the tail left at beginning work 1 sl st in each st around leg. Fasten off.

Far Front Leg
Using (106) Snow White work 4 ch.
Row 1: Miss 1st ch, work 1 sc in each of 1st 2 ch, 2 sc in last ch. Turn. (4 sts)
Row 2: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in next st, a joined sc over last 2 sts. Turn. (4 sts)
Row 3: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each st. Turn. (4 sts)
Row 4: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in each of last 2 sts. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 5: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, a joined sc over last 2 sts. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 6: 1 ch, work, 1 sc in each st. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 7: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, a joined sc over last 2 sts. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 8: 1 ch, work 1 sc in 1st st, a joined sc over last 2 sts. 3 ch. (2 sts + 3 ch)
Row 9: Miss 1st ch, work 1 sc in each of last 2 ch, a joined sc over the 2 sts. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 10: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each st. Don’t turn or fasten off.

Neatening Row
1 ch, work 1 sl st in each st around leg. Fasten off.

Near Back Leg
Using (106) Snow White work 6 ch.
Row 1: Work 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 hdc in next ch, 1 dc in following ch, 1 hdc in next ch, 1 sc in last ch. Turn. (5 sts)
Row 2: 1 ch, work 2 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each of next 3 sts, 2 sc in last st. Turn. (7 sts)
Row 3: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each st. Turn. (7 sts)
Row 4: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in each of next 3 sts, a joined sc over last 2 sts. Turn. (5 sts)
Row 5: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in next st, a joined sc over last 2 sts. 4 ch. (3 sts + 4 ch)
Row 6: Miss 1st ch, work 1 sc in each remaining ch and each st. Turn. (6 sts)
Row 7: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each st. Don’t turn or fasten off.

Neatening Row
1 ch, work 1 sl st in each st around. Fasten off.

Far Back Leg
Using (106) Snow White work 5 ch.
Miss 2 ch, work 1 hdc in each remaining ch. Fasten off.

Ear
Using (110) Black make a magic loop.
Row 1: 1 ch, work 1 sc in circle. Pull circle tight. Turn. (1 sts)
Row 2: 1 ch, work 3 sc in st. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 3: 1 ch, work 3 sc in 1st st, 1 sc in each remaining st. Turn. (5 sts)
Row 4: 1 ch, work 1 sc in each of 1st 4 sts, 2 sc in last st. Turn. (6 sts)
Row 5: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in each of next 2 sts, a joined sc over last 2 sts. Turn. (4 sts)
Row 6: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in each of last 2 sts. Turn. (3 sts)
Row 7: 1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in last st. Turn. (2 sts)
Row 8: 2 ch, work a joined dc over the 2 sts. Don’t turn or fasten off.

Neatening Row
1 ch, work 1 sl st in each st around. Fasten off.

Nose
Using (110) Black make a magic loop.
1 ch, work 3 sc in circle. Pull circle tight. Fasten off. I left a tail to stitch it to the head.

Eye
Using (110) Black make a magic loop.
1 ch, work 2 sl st in circle. Pull circle tight. Fasten off. I left a tail to stitch it to the head.

To Make Up
Weave in ends. Attach nose where shown.

Stitch eye to head and embroider on eye markings and eyebrow.

Embroider on mouth, whiskers and claws.

Sew ear to head.

Stitch near back leg to body.

Attach far front leg behind near front leg.

Sew far back leg behind near back leg.

Embroider on spots.
