Welcome to my crochet dachshund tutorial. Follow along with this video tutorial and learn how to make my crochet dachshund pattern.
For this pattern you will need crochet cotton or wool, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colours (162) Black Coffee, (179) Topaz, (110) Black and (506) Caramel. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook and a pair of scissors. Darning needle to weave in ends. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the dachshund together. 2 small black beads for the eyes if desired.
The finished dachshund will be 13cm x 12cm or 5″ x 3.75″ and look like this.
In the tutorial video, I’ll guide you through making the head, ears, face and eye markings, eyes and nose. Then there will be instructions for how to make the body, legs and tummy and how to join all of the pieces together.
