Welcome to my easy crochet crane tutorial. This is the tutorial video for my crochet crane pattern.
The finished crane applique will be 13cm wide x 13cm high or 5″ wide x 5″ high and look like this.
To make the pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona Cotton colours (208) Yellow Gold, (110) Black and (393) Charcoal. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends. A pair of scissors and sewing thread and a needle to stitch the crane together.
In the crochet video, I will show you how to make the tracks, turntable, cabin and window. I’ll then show you how to make the counterweight, pulleys, booms and hook. And lastly, I’ll guide you through putting all of the pieces together.
