The final part for the crochet frog basket series is here. Today I will guide you through assembling the crochet frog basket using the dancing and diving frogs, and the lily pads from the previous videos. Here is what the final product will look like.

This pattern will use the US terminology, if you would like to get the UK version go to Assembling the Crochet Frog Basket (UK version).

Assembling the Crochet Frog Basket US 

Materials Used

  • Dancing and diving frogs and lily pads from previous videos. (I used 4 dancing frogs and 4 diving frogs, 4 large lily pads and 6 small lily pads with a lily on top).
  • Basket.
  • Glue (clear craft glue, not PVA glue).
  • Blue crochet cotton for water splashes and water ripples.
  • Crochet hook.
  • Scissors.

Water Ripples

Chain desired length (Check for lengths for ripples once frogs and lily pads are glued on).
Miss 1st ch, 1 sc in 1st st, sl st in each st to end.  Fasten off.

Water Splashes (I made 24, 7 for each side and 5 for each end)

Make a magic circle.
3 ch, 1 joined dc into circle.  Pull the circle tight and fasten off.

To make up

I lay the frogs and lily pads out on the basket first and glue them down once I am happy with their position.

I then crochet different sized water ripples and put them on as shown.  Lastly, I add the water splashes.
