Crochet Japanese Bridge Tutorial

Welcome to my crochet Japanese bridge tutorial. This is the video tutorial for my crochet Japanese bridge pattern.

For this pattern, you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (115) Hot Red, (393) Charcoal, (074) Mercury and (110) Black.  A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook.  A darning needle to weave in ends.  A pair of scissors.  Thread and needle to stitch the bridge together.

The bridge will be 17cm wide x 8cm high (6.5” wide x 3” high) and will look like this.

I’ll show you how to make the bridge support and the deck in this tutorial video. Then I’ll guide you through making the posts, post tops and rails. Finally, I’ll show you how to join all of the pieces together.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed the tutorial. Have a look at some of my other videos, including the light post crochet tutorial, letterbox, pond, picnic table and the house.
