Easy Car Crochet Pattern

Welcome to my easy car crochet pattern. The finished car will look like this.

Easy Car Crochet Pattern 

Abbreviations 

Materials Used

Size

Large Car (Using 8 ply wool)

10.5cm x 8cm or 4” x 3”

Medium Car (Using 4 ply crochet cotton)

6.5cm x 5.5cm or 2.5” x 2”

Small Car (Using 2 ply crochet cotton)

5.5cm x 4.5cm or 2.25” x 1.75”

Car

21 ch.

Row 1:  Miss 1st ch, work 2 sc in next ch and work 1 sc in each remaining ch.  Turn.

Row 2:  1 ch, work 1 sc in each st to last st, work 2 sc in last st.  Turn.

Row 3:  1 ch, work 1 sc in each st to end.  Turn.

Row 4:  1 ch, work 1 sc in each st to last 2 sts, work a joined sc over last 2 sts.  Turn.

Row 5:  1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in each st to last 2 sts, work a joined sc over last 2 sts.  Turn.

Row 6:  1 ch, work a joined sc over 1st 2 sts, 1 sc in each st to last 3 sts, work a sc cluster over last 3 sts.  Turn.

Row 7:  Sl st into each of 1st 3 sts, 12 ch, work 2 quad tr (yarn around hook 5 times at start) in the 6th sc, 12 ch, sl st into 2nd last sc.  Don’t fasten off.

Neatening Row

1 ch, work sc into each st around car including the ch at the top, (work 2 sc into a st when needed to keep the car flat).  Sl st into 1st sc and fasten off.

Wheels (Make 2)

Using grey make a magic loop.

Row 1:  1 ch, work 8 sc into circle.  Pull circle tight and sl st in top of 1st st.  Fasten off.

Join black yarn to any st.

Row 2:  2 ch, work 2 dc in same st as ch, (3 dc in next st and 2 dc in following st) repeat to end of row.  Join with a sl st in top of 1st st.  Fasten off.

To Make Up

Weave in ends.  Stitch the wheels to the car.
