Welcome to my crochet violin tutorial. This is the video tutorial for my crochet violin pattern.
For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (254) Moon Rock, (242) Metal Grey, (162) Black Coffee, (130) Old Lace and (110) Black. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Cream thread and needle to embroider on the strings.
The size of the violin will be 11cm wide x 16cm high (4.25” wide x 6.5” high) and it will look like this.
In this tutorial video I’ll show you how to make the body and the neck. Then I’ll guide you through making the pegs, the bow and the chin rest. Finally, I’ll show you how to join all of the pieces together.
I hope that you’ve enjoyed this tutorial. Have a look at some of my other tutorials, including the paint palette and paintbrush tutorial, the unicycle, the rose bookmark and the rocking horse tutorial.
