Crochet Tiny Teddy Bear Pattern (UK Version)

Welcome to my crochet tiny teddy bear pattern. This pattern was another request. This is what the finished tiny teddy bear applique will look like.

Crochet Tiny Teddy Bear Pattern

Abbreviations 

Materials Used 

Size 

Large teddy (Using 8 ply yarn & a 3mm hook)

3.5cm wide x 5.5cm high or 1.5” wide x 2.25” high

Medium teddy (Using 4 ply crochet cotton & a 1.5mm hook)

2cm wide x 4cm high or 0.75” wide x 1.25” high

Small teddy (Using 2 ply crochet cotton & a 1mm hook)

2cm wide x 2.5cm high or 0.5” wide x 1” high

Body

Using (510) Sky Blue make a magic loop.

2 ch, work 12 tr in circle, pull circle tight and join with a sl st in top of 1st st.  Fasten off.

Head

Using (510) Sky Blue make a magic loop.

2 ch, work 12 tr in circle, pull circle tight and join with a sl st in top of 1st st.  Don’t turn or fasten off.

Ears

1 ch, work 1 htr, 1 tr, 1 htr and 1 sl st in same st as last sl st, sl st in each of next 4 sts, 1 ch, work 1 htr, 1 tr and 1 htr in same st as last sl st, sl st in same st.  Fasten off.

Arms (Make 2)

Using (510) Sky Blue make a magic loop.

4 ch, work a joined dtr in circle.  Pull circle tight.  Fasten off.

Feet (Make 2)

Using (510) Sky Blue make a magic loop.

1 ch, work 1 dc, 2 htr, 1 dc. 2 htr in circle, pull circle tight and join with a sl st in top of 1st st.  Fasten off.

To Make Up

Weave in ends.  Embroider nose, mouth and eyes on head.

Attach arms to body where shown.

Stitch head to body.

Sew the feet to body.

And there’s the finished tiny teddy bear. I’ve also made it in different sizes and colours and attached it to a beanie that I’ve made.
