Crochet Picnic Table Pattern (UK Version)

Welcome to my crochet picnic table pattern. This is another pattern in my teddy bears picnic blanket series. When finished, the crochet picnic table applique will look like this.

Crochet Picnic Table Pattern

Abbreviations

Materials Used

Size

Large picnic table (Using 8 ply wool)

10cm x 20cm or 4” x 8”

Medium picnic table (Using 4 ply crochet cotton)

8cm x 14.5cm or 3” x 5.75”

Table-Top

35 ch.

Miss 2 ch and work 1 htr in each ch to end.  Fasten off.

1st Leg

Join cotton 10 sts from end on bottom right end of table as shown.

28 ch.

Work a joined tr over 4th and 5th ch from hook, 1 tr in each ch to last ch, 2 tr in last ch.  Sl st in bottom of table-top.  Fasten off.

2nd Leg

Join cotton 7 sts from left end on bottom of table.

28 ch.

Work 2 tr in 4th ch from hook, 1 tr in each ch to last 2 ch, a joined tr over last 2 ch.  Sl st in bottom of table-top. Fasten off.

Seat Frame

47 ch.

Miss 3 ch and work 1 tr in each ch to end.  Fasten off.

Right Seat

Join cotton to 1st st on seat frame.

2 ch, work 1 htr in same st as ch, 1 htr in each of next 6 sts.  Fasten off.

Left Seat

Join cotton to 7th st from end of seat frame.

2 ch, work 1 htr in same st as ch, 1 htr in each of next 6 sts.  Fasten off.

To Make Up

Weave in ends.  Stitch the legs together as shown.

Attach the seat frame over the join of the legs with an even amount of seat sticking out at each end of the table.

And there’s the finished picnic table. I’ve also made the table in different sizes and colours.
