Welcome to my crochet hot air balloon tutorial. This is the video tutorial for my crochet hot air balloon pattern.
For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (515) Emerald, (208) Yellow Gold, (189) Royal Orange, (115) Hot Red, (146) Vivid Blue, (201) Electric Blue, (521) Deep Violet, (113) Delphinium, (106) Snow White and (254) Moon Rock. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Black thread and needle to embroider on markings and attach basket to balloon.
The size of the hot air balloon will be 10.5cm wide x 16cm high (4” wide x 6.25” high) and it will look like this.
In the tutorial video, I’ll show you how to make the balloon and the basket. Then I’ll show you how to join the pieces together.
