Assembling the Crochet Frog Basket

The final part for the crochet frog basket series is here. Today I will guide you through assembling the crochet frog basket using the dancing and diving frogs, and the lily pads from the previous videos. Here is what the final product will look like.

If you would like to follow along with the video the tutorial is on Youtube at Assembling the Crochet Frog Basket.

This pattern will use the US terminology, if you would like to get the UK version go to Assembling the Crochet Frog Basket (UK version).

Assembling the Crochet Frog Basket US

Materials Used

Water Ripples

Chain desired length (Check for lengths for ripples once frogs and lily pads are glued on).
Miss 1st ch, 1 sc in 1st st, sl st in each st to end.  Fasten off.

Water Splashes (I made 24, 7 for each side and 5 for each end)

Make a magic circle.
3 ch, 1 joined dc into circle.  Pull the circle tight and fasten off.

To make up

I lay the frogs and lily pads out on the basket first and glue them down once I am happy with their position.

I then crochet different sized water ripples and put them on as shown.  Lastly, I add the water splashes.

I hope you have enjoyed this series and found it useful. I’ve made several of these baskets and they make wonderful gifts.
